BGC Trading

BGC Trading or BGC Partners are the new morph of Universal Trading Strategies.

bgc-trading.com, bgctrading.com.au , bgcpartners.com.au

Most of their website material is an exact copy of utscorp.com.au. They give their address as 140 Bundall Rd but the contract gives 2/91 Upton St which is/was UTS’ home.

Now they are offering Index investing and Forex automated /black-box trading with a hefty price tag of $10,000. They claim there are many excellent automated forex trading softwares out there, and a lot of good ones. Expert opinion is quite the opposite, even suggesting that there are NO good automated trading softwares at all.

Reports are now coming in (see comments) that clients that were having their ‘trading’ done through bestbets247 for BGC have suffered massive losses whenever they tried to instigate a withdrawal. They are then offered a better ‘managed’ account if they pay a large sum of money to take their account to the next level. Beware, this is a common scammer tactic, using the lure of ‘better’ product to regain unexplained losses. Do not be fooled. Do not give them more money.

You should also be making claims through your State’s Civil Arbitration Tribunal, such as QCAT, NCAT or VCAT. They are usually very good with claims against these sort of companies.

I set up a trial account for three months where the profit went from $500 to $3000 and thought this looks good.Committed to set up proper account on 2/7/2015 and since then there has been two bets that has taken nearly all the money and now they cannot be contacted.

It’s all starting to sound a bit like the recent scams such as UK Home BUsiness and Lay Trade Solutions, where accounts were going along swimingly and then all had large losses. They blamed software glitches but it seemed more like manipulation. Again bookmaker was located in Costa Rica, business was on the Gold Coast. Might be worth contacting the fraud squad’s Task Force Maxima as they are/were investigating those scams

What a scam!! A guy named Patrick called me offering a trading trail costing me $500. Things went well for 4 weeks, with some small wins. I then received a call from Peter and Kevin offering me the 10k start up package, advising that I would have my own trader. But as time went on I soon discovered that something was wrong. After several phone calls and trying to withdraw some of my funds. There always seemed to be an excuse and no one available to provide me any answers to why I couldn’t withdraw my money. After losing $13K, I got a phone call from Justin to say that the only way to fix the problem I would need to be moved to his trading and out of corporate as he told me I was currently on a computer trading program. After I paid another $15k to get to $50k so I could be managed by Justin, the account was still going and earning up to $93k and after a number of calls and messages to Justin and Michael to try and get some conformation of my account so I could withdraw some of my money back, I suffered a massive loss of $74k.
I now know that this was part of their scam and will be seeking legal action against them.

I agree with a class action against BGC trading/BGC Partners/BESTBETS247.

Could someone please provide me some information on how to start a class action or get legal advice? I would like these thieves to pay and are wanting to contact the media to expose them.

I now know that this was part of their scam and will be seeking legal action against them. We should contact the Fraud Squad in Qld and have these guys put away. too many innocent people like you me and many others have been scammed by these guys.
Let’s stop them now. We should contact ASIC, ACCC and the ombudsman. Put this scam on social media and take it to the press and TV (current affair).
I also agree with a class action against BGC trading/BGC Partners/BESTBETS247.

I have been with BGC Trading for over 3 months now. After numerous calls from BGC (Nigel and James) I sent $500 as the demonstration trial to show me how to use their system. After 10 days trial period I have sent $10000 to start to bet as a member of BGC.
$5000 went to cover a licence fee and remaining $5000 went to my betting account. All up it was $6250 in my account to start ($5500 was my own money and $750 was a bonus from betting company BESTBETS247). Within an hour I have lost the bonus, as a losing bet. After that my account start to grow on very slow pace. I did not mind, because I thought the slower the growing rate the lesser the risk. When my account was about $15000, I have tried to withdraw some money. So I requested that, but request went unanswered. Did not pay much attention to that . When I have asked Nigel from BGC about very slow betting process (there weren’t any betting for 3 – 4 days) he told me that there are no suitable events and they do not want to risk. I have been told that BGC would never ever bet on more than 20% of the balance of my account. Which was reasonable. Then a couple of days ago when I checked my account I saw a big loss about $13000 in one bet. It was a very real wake up call, but it sounds too late. After about a hundred calls to BGC, Nigel and James and not getting any answer I have realised that I was ripped off again. I still have a couple of thousand sitting on my account, but do not have any control of. BESTBETS247 never answered my requests. The “funny” thing is that the money ($10500) I have paid to BGC were taking from my home loan account. So I am paying interest on it, as we speak. Does anyone know how to deal in situation like this? I would appreciate any advise, please. All the best to everyone.

These con men hounded me for weeks about joining, in the end I did just to see how the $500 would fair over the period.
When the account reached over $1800 I put in for a withdrawal. This is when it started to go pear shaped with large reckless bets that ended in large losses peeling the account back to $597.
This is when I thought enough of this and requested my $500 back.
As of today all their phones are off, can anybody suggest how I can speak to these scammers?

Sounds similar to my recent experience. Into third day today for a return phone call …still waiting… have decided they are a dodgy company…My account was going well too well so I decided to withdraw but persuaded to stay as the “sporting” arena was heating up internationally so I stayed on…then a big loss of $1000+ they said they would set a limit then a massive $4000+ loss… 3 calls a day and nobody returning my calls…I asked today for a trading stop on my a/c… I am out of there ….. dodgy company BEWARE!1

I have done a bit of research on bestbets247 , they are a fake cheaply set up website run by BGC so what appears to be major losses from our accounts are actually BGC taking money straight from clients accounts into their greedy scamming hands. Class action is needed here people ! Lets get it started.
